Methodology
This page explains where data comes from, how it is moderated, and how confidence is calculated before publication.
SPI collects submissions from vendors, field agents, and authorized administrators. Every submitted price is stored with source, timestamp, location, market, unit, and currency details.
Submissions enter a moderation workflow: SUBMITTED → UNDER REVIEW → APPROVED / REJECTED / NEEDS INFO. Approved submissions are denormalized into observation records used for dashboards, explorer pages, and API consumers.
Confidence is derived from source type, recent corroboration count (matching submissions in the last 7 days), and freshness. All moderation actions are captured in immutable audit logs.
