Submit market data

What kind of price are you submitting?

Choose one route. SPI reviews every record before it can appear in public data or analysis.

For businesses and vendors

A price your business offers

Use this route when the price is a current retail or wholesale offer from your own business.

You will need

  • A vendor account
  • Product, unit, pack size, and availability
  • Market, currency, price basis, and effective date
Continue as a vendor

For field monitors and collectors

A price observed in a market

Use this route when you independently observed the price at a shop, stall, or market.

You will need

  • The product and observed amount
  • District, market, and collection date
  • A source note, receipt, or photo where available
Continue as a field collector

What happens after submission

  1. Received. SPI records the source, place, date, unit, and original amount.
  2. Reviewed. A verifier checks identity, duplicates, unit consistency, evidence, and outliers.
  3. Published or returned. Approved observations enter public analysis; records needing clarification are returned with a reason.

Submitting a price does not guarantee publication. SPI never presents an unreviewed offer as verified market evidence.
